The Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, a federal government agency under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Finance saddled with the major responsibilities to generate revenue; protect imports and exports on national borders and Airports; enforce fiscal policy compliance and create enabling environment for international trade.
The Service has over the years continued to undergo reforms at several stages aimed to conform with international standards and best operational service.
The Nigeria Customs Service, Port Harcourt Area II Command, Onne Rivers State has remained on board and in tune with the responsibilities and Officers and men have continued to display relentless efforts and unalloyed commitment towards the actualization of the core vision and mission of the service in accordance with the fiscal policy thrust of the Federal Government of Nigeria as embedded in the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
At the Federal Ocean Terminal ( FOT) gate of the Nigeria Customs Service, officers and men are always on red alert to enforce due diligence and fiscal policy compliance on all business transactions in line with the Comptroller General of Customs, CGC, Adewale Adeniyi MFR, tripod policy thrust of Consolidation, Collaboration and Innovation.
Since assumption of duty as Officer in charge, OC, gate, the newly promoted Deputy Comptroller of Customs, Mohammed Ibrahim, had remained resilient, transparent and humble in the discharge of his duties holding fiscal policy compliance constant.
Most Licensed Customs Agents who confided in GLOBAL RAYS described him as a down- to – earth personality in all his dealings with utmost sincerity of purpose.
They added, his a man of impeccable character and excellent humans relations in his conversations and decisions aimed to generate more revenue to the federal government of Nigeria.
DC Mohammed Ibrahim; is proactive and pragmatic on duty and treat all with respect and fear of God. Having work at the gate previously as Staff accorded him more on- the- job experience and knowledge of expertise to generate more revenue and create robust synergies in trade facilitation.
His recent promotion to the rank of a deputy comptroller of Customs have been applauded by most stakeholders and operators at Onne Customs Area Command, as a square peg in a square hole and an outstanding personality with good conduct.
