In accordance with the directive of the Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi MFR, aimed to reengineer and stimulate the service for generation of more revenue, suppression of Smuggling activities and enhance trade facilitation, the newly redeployed Customs Area Controller, CAC, Cross River/ Akwa/ Ibom Customs Area Command, Compt. Chukwudi Ogbonna, has resumed office immediately with a charge to all Officers and men of the command on the need and importance of discipline and resourcefulness in team work to achieve results.
The newly redeployed Customs Area Controller,Compt Ogbonna, is a seasoned officer who grew from the ranks with high level ethical standards, integrity and resourcefulness in the discharge of his duties.
Mostly described as due process and compliance Officer with operational standards and fiscal policies of the federal government of Nigeria.
In his remarks, Compt . Ogbonna, said, “Let me use this opportunity to commend the good work of my predesesor and thanked the Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi MFR, for the confidence reposed on me and the opportunity to serve as Customs Area Controller.”
He added, “Results and impacts are achieved when all Officers and Men work collectively as a team.
There’s need for adequate collaboration and synergies in trade facilitation with a view to achieve the vision of the Comptroller General of Customs.”
