KAMBA BORDER: CUSTOMS KEBBI COMMAND ENFORCES COMPLIANCE

In accordance with the directive of the Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi MFR, and in furtherance to the resolution of  ECOWAS Nations on the Coup in Niger, the Nigeria Customs service, Kebbi Area command,  has closed the Kamba border and organised an interactive meeting with community leaders and stakeholders on the need for compliance.

The Customs Area Controller, Kebbi Area Command, Compt. Ben Oramalugo,PhD, disclosed this information to GLOBAL RAYS  Media.

Compt. Oramalugo, said,. “While I was in the retreat for the newly promoted Comptrollers at Gwagwalada and in conformity with the directives of our amiable CG, for us to close all borders with Niger, I instructed my DC Administration and border drill unit to carry out the mandate in Kamba area of the state.”

Adding,  “The instruction was for them to educate the border communities that closure was not punitive but to safeguard democracy in Nigeria.”

The CAC opined that  his team performed well and enforced the compliance.

However, Compt. Ben Oramalugo  assured  that in the next few days, he will visit other borders with Niger to ascertain full adherence and compliance to the directives of the Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi MFR.
