At the end of the just concluded keenly contested national executive officers election of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Hon. Tony Nwabunike has emerged the president of ANLCA for the next four years, defeating his closest rival, Mr. Emenike Nwokeoji with 38 to 35 votes respectively.
The outgoing president, Prince Olayiwola Shittu, thanked all delegates for their commitment in the course of ANLCA and urged all to ensure the survival and sustainability of ANLCA. He congratulated the newly electedpresident and urged him to carry all members along and reconcile any perceived aggrieved members for the unity and peaceful coexistence of ANLCA.
In his remarks, the Board of Trustees Chairman, Chief Henry Njoku, said ANLCA is an all inclusive and purposeful association, geared to protect and improve the interest and welfare of members in line with its constitution.
He said that in ANLCA, there is no winner there is no loser, according to him, ANLCA is bigger and greater than any individual interest. He charged the new president to sustain the tempo andstandard set aside by Prince Olayiwola Shittu in line with international standard and best practices.
Others elected are as follows: National Publicity Secretary – Mr. Joe Sanni; Treasurer – Mr. Dada; National Financial Secretary – Bola Muse; Assistant National Secretary – Chief Dennis Okwu; National Secretary – Mukaila Abdulazeez; Vice President – Dr. Kayode Farinto; Coordinator, Western Zone – John Oforbike; Secretary Western Zone – Bayo; Coordinator, Eastern Zone – Chief Uche Martins and Secretary, Eastern Zone – Joshua.
