In line with the Comptroller General of Customs, CGC, Adewale Adeniyi MFR, PhD, tripod policy thrust anchored on Consolidation, Collaboration and Innovation aimed to achieve smooth and seamless operations in revenue generation, suppression of smuggling activities and robust synergies in trade facilitation.
The Customs Area Controller, CAC, Adamawa/ Taraba Customs Area Command, Comptroller Muhammad Aminu Tako, has concluded series of familiarization and collaborative visits aimed to ascertain a smooth and seamless operational efficiency of the command.

In his remarks, Comptroller Aminu Tako, said, ” The visits are in accordance with the Comptroller General of Customs policy thrust of Consolidation, Collaboration and Innovation. The Service under the Comptroller General of Customs, CGC, Adewale Adeniyi MFR, PhD has uphold robust synergies in operational service delivery with sister security agencies. “

His Words: “The courtesy visit provided an opportunity to reaffirm the commitment of both services to sustained collaboration, intelligence sharing, in the fight against smuggling and securing challenges within Adamawa state and expressed confidence in continued partnership for effective service delivery.”
The move is to deepen inter-agency collaboration on border security with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
This followed a courtesy visit by the Customs Area Controller (CAC) of Adamawa/Taraba, Comptroller Mohammed Tako, to the office of the NSCDC State Commandant, Idris Bande, in Yola on Monday, 5 January 2026.
Speaking during the visit, Tako said, “The engagement aimed to strengthen existing cooperation between the two agencies, particularly in the areas of security and public safety.”

The CAC noted that effective border management requires sustained inter-agency collaboration, adding that Customs remains committed to working closely with sister security agencies in the discharge of its statutory responsibilities.
Compt Tako reiterated that, “The visit underscores the importance of inter-agency cooperation in enhancing security operations and ensuring the effective execution of our mandates. ”
In his response, Bande described the Nigeria Customs Service as a strategic partner in national security, assuring the Customs delegation of the NSCDC’s readiness to provide tactical support when required, especially in border protection and management.
He added that security agencies in Adamawa State operate as a unified front, stressing that Customs would continue to be fully integrated into joint security efforts in the state.
