The Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Kano/ Jigawa area command has witnessed a renewed hope spirited efforts and results driven impetus since the assumption of office of Compt Dalhatu Abubakar PhD, as the Customs Area Controller, CAC.
The Command is more prone to robust trade facilitation and fiscal policy thrust compliance courtesy of the unassuming, proactive and highly resourceful inputs of the Compt Dalhatu Abubakar.
On assumption of office, Compt Dalhatu Abubakar PhD, has created a more conducive working environment by initiating regular interactive meetings with relevant and critical stakeholders in the value chain of business transactions both imports and exports within the command jurisdiction.
The CAC has also charged officers and men to redouble their efforts to achieve results in accordance with the tripod policy thrust of the Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi MFR aimed to generate more revenue, suppress smuggling activities and improve trade facilitation. He reiterated the need for team work and adherence to rules of engagement in the discharge of their duties.
However, Compt Dalhatu Abubakar, has sounded it loud and clear that the Command will not condone any action or inaction capable to undermine the policy thrust of the Comptroller General of Customs hinged on Consolidation, Collaboration and Innovation as embedded in the renewed hope mantra of President Bola Tinubu
