The National President, Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents, ANLCA, Mr. Emenike Nwokeoji, has said, “The newly elected and sworn in chairman of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents, ANLCA, Area 1 Chapter, Dr. Emmanuel Okoh, has started on a good note and reaffirming his campaign promise to build a befitting secretariat for the association with a personal donation of ₦5 Million to kick start the project. ”
Emenike Nwokeoji, asserted, ” This is a call to service and a commitment for growth and development of the association which calls for commendation and encouragement from all members.”
However, the National President of ANLCA urged all members to give the new executives all necessary and needed support and cooperation to carry out it’s duties in accordance with the association constitution.
The high point of the ceremony was an award of excellent relationship and good conduct conferred on the chairman, ANLCA Area 1 chapter, Dr.Emmanuel Okoh, by the national president.
In his remarks, the chairman of ANLCA, Area 1 chapter, Dr Emmanuel Okoh, said, ” We are committed to serve and change the narrative in the area aimed to improve the life and standards of living of members of ANLCA area 1 chapter. ”
Dr. Okoh, added, ” My executive is on a mission to reform and restore the values and integrity of members and the association with more interest to comply to national dues payments.”
He reaffirmed, “Having worked in the area 1 chapter of ANLCA with keen interest and commitment over the years, my major drive is to build a beffiting Secretariat to that effect am donating ₦5 Million for that purpose and will help to alleviate the standards of living of members with workable insurance policies and programs aimed to cushion the challenges of members. ”
Reacting, the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents, ANLCA, Alhaji Taiwo Mustapha, said, ” ANLCA have achieved stability and peaceful coexistence among members and we have resolved and committed to sustain and maintain it. ”
Earlier in his remarks, the Customs Area Controller, CAC, Port Harcourt Area 1 Customs Command, Compt. Mustapha Hashim, said, ” The Nigeria Customs Service, Area 1 is ready to encourage and facilitate genuine imports and exports transactions in the value chain but the Command will not condone any action or in action capable to undermine the fiscal policy of the federal government. ”
Compt Hashim, asserted, ” The Command has generated over ₦83 Billion so far with the cooperation of compliance imports and exports and we are optimistic to surpass our target for the year 2025.”
