In line with the tripod policy thrust of the Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi MFR, hinged on Consolidation, Collaboration and Innovation aimed to generate more revenue generation, suppress smuggling activities and improve trade facilitation, the Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi MFR has redeployed Comptroller Aliyu Alkali as Customs Area Controller, Federal Operations Unit, Zone B Kaduna; who has formally assumed the leadership of the Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Operations Unit Zone B, Kaduna, succeeding Comptroller Ahmadu Shuaibu.
In his remarks at the handover ceremony, Comptroller Bello Shuaibu, said, “My tenure was a celebration of freedom which is reflected on the fulfilment derived from serving the nation over the past year.”
However, he expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, and the management team for the opportunity to serve. He urged officers to extend the same level of cooperation and dedication to his successor.
In his remarks, Comptroller Aliyu Alkali, said, “I thank the leadership and management team for the trust and confidence reposed on me. While, I acknowledged the challenges and responsibilities of overseeing one of the service’s largest zones.”
He pledged to maintain professionalism and build on his predecessor’s legacy of peaceful operations.
