The zonal coordinator, Nigeria Customs Service, Zone C, Assistant Comptroller General of Customs, ACG Sambo Dangaladima, has officially decorated newly promoted officers and men of the zone.
In his remarks, ACG Dangaladima, said, “We are here today to celebrate an extraordinary moment in the careers of our esteemed officers in the Nigeria Customs Service. we gather not just to decorate individuals with new ranks but to honor hard work, dedication, and the unwavering commitment to the service and our nation.”
ACG Dangaladima, asserted, “Promotion is not just a reward for past achievements; it is a call to greater responsibility, higher expectations, and a renewed commitment to excellence.”
He added, “As officers and men of the Nigeria Customs Service, we are the custodians of our nation’s borders, the guardians of trade facilitation, and the enforcers of fiscal policies. The roles we play impact the very fabric of Nigeria’s economic growth and security.”
However, he commended newly promoted officers and men for their diligence, perseverance, and professionalism.
His words: “Your elevation is a testament to your integrity, hard work, and alignment with the vision of this great service. However, with this new rank comes a challenge—a challenge to lead, inspire, and uphold the values of accountability, transparency, and efficiency.”
He reiterated that you are now not only representatives of this institution but also role models to your colleagues and the younger officers who aspire to follow in your footsteps.
The ACG urged them to remember that leadership is not about power but service. It is about making decisions that align with the greater good, fostering teamwork, and leading by example.
Speaking further, the ACG posited, “The success of our service depends on how well you adapt to challenges, leverage modern technology, and remain vigilant in combating smuggling, fraud, and other threats to national development.To the families and friends of our honorees, I extend my heartfelt gratitude. Your support, sacrifices, and encouragement have been instrumental in their journey.”
In addition, the ACG opined, “Today, we also celebrate you because behind every successful officer is a family that stands as their pillar of strength.As we move forward, let us recommit ourselves to the vision of the Nigeria Customs Service—a vision of professionalism, efficiency, and unwavering service to our beloved nation.”
ACG Sambo Dangaladima, used the ceremony to inspire all to strive for greater heights, knowing that your contributions are integral to the progress of Nigeria. He also thanked the Comptroller General, CGC BASHIR ADEWALE ADENIYI, MFR, psc (+) and his management team for their continual support, encouragement, and his practical policies that have advanced our productivity and human capacity.
