In a keenly contested election of Bureau the change operators, Alhaji Salisu Umar Garu has emerged as the first elected chairman of Zone 4 Traders Association,he defeated his closest rival Alhaji Sehu Liman,after polling 218 votes against 121.
In his acceptance speech, the chairman, Alhaji Salisu Umar Garu said, “The election reinforce the vision, growth and development of the association stands for,which is nothing but the truth and my administration shall continue to advance the welfare of the members. Also, we shall always place the people first in every decision we take and it is my solemn promised that this mandate will continue to prioritize the welfare of our members and ensure the association unwavering dedication to progress.”
He added, “Our foresight and commitment to securing a better future for our members,and our collective efforts in pushing for improvements with the association will require continuous support from each and every one of you.”
The sitting chairman of the association,Alhaji Abdulahi Abubakar Dora call on the both winners and losers of this election should come and work together for the betterment of the association.
His words: “This is one family we are all brothers here, we appreciate the electoral committee for conducting a free, fair and credible election.”
The Chairman Forex BDC, Muhammad Almustapha, one of the aspirant that step down,said, “This is the first time the association conducted election but it look like they are used to it.the election was very peaceful and credible which make the closest rival to congratulate the winner.”
However, he called on all the members of the association to come together and support the new administration so that we can move forward.
In his remarks, the committee publicity sectary Mansur Abbas waziri, said, “Everybody accept the result because of the standard we put in place and we will continue with this standard of free,fair and credible election in the zone 4 Traders.”
