In a bid to boost the morale, reengineer good conduct mantra, high ethical standards and professionalism in the discharge of their duties, the , Comptroller General of Customs ,CGC, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR has paid a stopover visit to the Zonal HQ/Area 1 Command Port Harcourt on Thursday 5 September as part of his visit to Area 2 Command Onne.
This information was contained in a statement issued signed by the Port Harcourt Area 1 Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Customs, Ivara Oscar, and made available to GLOBAL RAYS Media.
The statements reads in part: “The CGC used the occasion to address officers on strong issues such as incessant smuggling/seizures of illicit drugs in the Zone, thorough 100% physical examination, personnel conduct among others.”
The Customs boss was received by the Zonal Coordinator, Assistant Comptroller General of Customs, Charles Orbih, Comptrollers and Stakeholders.
In his remarks, the Zonal Coordinator, Zone C, ACG Charles Orbih, said, “On behalf of officers and men of zone C we express our appreciation for your visit and pledged our unalloyed commitment and zeal in discharging our duties in accordance with your policy thrust hinged on Consolidation, Collaboration and Innovation.”
