NCS OFFICERS AND MEN CHARGED ON NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND MORE REVENUE GENERATION

With the rate of insecurity, national development, revenue generation, Officers and men of the Nigeria Customs Service have been asked to rededicate themselves to combating smuggling and other criminal activities for national development.

 

This assertion was made by the Kanwan Katsina, District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara, who retired as Comptroller of Customs; when thePublic Relations unit of the Customs headquarters visited him in his palace.

The team led by superintendent of Customs, Abdullahi Mai Wada were in Katsina for an interview with Kanwan Katsina for their documentary.

In his remarks, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara, said,  “There’s need for customs officials to intensify efforts in Revenue Generation needed by government to reduce budget deficit and infrastructural development of the country.”

However, the former customs comptroller had once served as public relations officer of Apapa and Tincan Island sports command in Lagos where he discharge his duties effectively and attributed his success to his work in the newsroom of Radio Nigeria Kaduna in nineteen seventy-five before proceeding to Amadu Bello University Zaria for further education.

Earlier in his remarks, the team leader, Superintendant of Customs, Abdullahi Maiwada” said, “We are in Katsina to interview the Kanwan Katsina on his experience while with the Customs and his life after retirement.”
