COMPT. UMAR TAKES OVER BATON AT WMC

In compliance   with the directive of the Comptroller General of Customs, CGC, Hameed Ali, Comptroller AA UMAR, has taken over baton of leadership from DC Eneche OCHIBA as the substantive Customs Area Controller (CAC) of Nigeria Customs Service, Western Marine Command (WMC), 21February 2022.

 

This information was contained in a statement issued signed by the Command Public Relations Officer, ASC 1 Isah Suliaman and made available to GLOBAL RAYS Media.

The statement reads in part: “During a brief handing and taking over at the WMC Headquarters Ibafon-Apapa, Lagos, the outgoing Ag. CAC, DC Ochiba, said,  “I welcome and congratulate the substantive Area Controller for his posting.” Adding,  “I appreciate the Officers and Men of the command for their unwavering support and cooperation throughout my tenure and I urge all to accord maximum support and cooperation to the new Area Controller.”

In his remarks, the newly redeployed, CAC, Comptroller AA UMAR, said, “Officers and Men of the command should rededicate themselves to their statutory responsibilities.”  He added,  “All officers and men should be disciplined and work hard according to the codes, procedures, departmental instructions and laws as enshrine in the Customs and Excise Management Act Cap C45 2004 as amended.”

Comptroller AAUMAR fsi was among the Comptrollers who were recently redeployed on the 8 February 2022 by the Comptroller General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd).

However, until his appointment, Comptroller AA UMAR fsi was the Comptroller Discipline at the Customs Headquarters, Abuja.
