NSC BOSS LAUDS STAFF EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council, NSC, Rt.Hon Emmanuel Jime, has lauded the NSC staff coperative society for the award of excellence performance recently given to them by the Lagos State Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Coperatives.

He made this known during the 25th annual general meeting and election of the council’s staff multipurpose cooperative society held at the council’s multipurpose hall, in Apapa.

Executive Secretary stated, “This was the first of its kind since the inception of the cooperative over 20years in the council.”

His words:   “The outgoing Executives deserve our commendation in addition to the Award recently given to them by Lagos state Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Coperatives with respect to their transparency and hard work. That was the first of its kind since the inception of the coperative over 20years in the council. That to me is an award not only to the Cooperative but also to NSC, we hope and expect more awards from the incoming Executives”.

However, the NSC boss made presentation of awards to past presidents of the cooperative and urged the electoral committe to ensure that the result of the election is transparent and shoud execute thier duties without fear or favour.

In his response, the president of the NSC staff multipurpose cooperative society, Mal. Bashir Ambi-Mohammed, said,  “My administration is  leaving the sum of N384,493,251.84 (Three hundred and eighty four million, four hundred ninety three thousand, two hundred and fifty one naira, eighty four kobo) as against N30,442,770.89(Thirty million, four hundred and fourty two thousand, seven hundred amd seventy naira eighty nine kobo he took over from the previous administration.”

He asserted,  “The achievements of my administration  are to Increase in net suplus, cost-cutting policy, merit award, returned of unused approved AGM money to the Cooperate account, children education loan, training of 40 cooperators via Lagos State cooperati e Federation LASCOFED amongst others.”

He urge whoever takes over as the next president of the cooperation to continue from where he stopped.

He posited,  “There are pending projects and investigations which i want them to look into like the case of allegation against NSC coopeartion by Polysonic Nigeria Limited, which i made public and ensure they don’t pay kobo until the case is resolved”.

Mr Adeyemi Olaolu who was the treasurer in the previous administration of the cooperation emerged as the 8th president alongside others unopposed.

In his acceptance speech, the newly  elected President of the Cooperation, Adeyemi Olaolu, has said,  “I promise to bring to the table  skill sets, Build consensus and deliver results, establish trust, turn ideas into reality, doing the right thing at the right time for our society, also leading from the heart with a passion for the society.”
