A daughter reportedly hacked her Mother to death in Ifitte Mmaku Community in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu state over yet to be established issue.
Sequel the Community was thrown into mourning and tension as people converged in clusters to discuss the Possible remote or immediate cause of the incident .
When contacted the state Police Relations Officer, Ebere Amarizu, Confirmed the incident, adding, ” The alleged tragic and unfortunate incident had occurred on that fateful day 16th December 2018, when the daughter of the deceased identified as one Martha Anukwu said to be about 34years inflicted several machete cut injuries all over the body of the Mother identified as Scholistica Anukwu of about 58years.”
Ebere assured that, “Following the machete cuts, victims became unconscious and was later confirmed dead.”
However, a full scale investigations have commenced into the alleged unfortunate incident as the suspect is helping the security operatives of Enugu state Police Command for further investigations.
Meanwhile ,the dead body of the deceased is deposited at Eagle Morgue.
