President Muhammadu Buhari has said, “The world needs good journalism to get rid of hate speech and insecurity.” He disclosed this information at the 67 International Press Institute (IPI) world Congress 2018 in Abuja. President Buhari stressed on the roles and impacts of good journalism aimed to build a free and stable societies devoid of rancour and bitterness. The theme of the IPI World Congress tagged, “Why Good Journalism Matters : Quality Media for strong societies.”
President Muhammadu Buhari charged all Journalists to be change agents with a view to stabilize the societies and create a harmonious coexistence .While, called on all journalists to eschew acts or in actions capable at promoting hate speeches and insecurity in the society.
